Christian Raunjak: <\/strong>It’s the complete package of storytelling and actual taste experience, Bianca. Customers today aren’t just looking for a product; they’re looking for trust. When I tell them that the espresso is exclusively roasted in a drum roaster in Austria, that creates a foundation. But the “deal closer” is the quality in the cup \u2013 this consistent Tigercrema impresses professionals and home users alike. <\/p>\n\n

Bianca: <\/strong>I’m so glad to hear that! That’s exactly our goal at Kalophagas: to offer products that truly deserve the name “Gattino” (Italian for kitten) \u2013 elegant, yet full of character. We just received word from Kalamata that the new balsamic creams have been bottled. You’ve already seen the prototypes. Which variety do you think will make the biggest splash in the market? <\/p>\n\n

Christian:<\/strong> Definitely the chili balsamic<\/strong>. It fills a gap. Many chili products are either too hot or too sweet. Your cream has that delicate balsamic acid that elegantly frames the spiciness. I can already see it on countless barbecue platters this summer. But the truffle balsamic<\/strong> is also a real tool for our B2B customers in the restaurant industry, allowing them to enhance dishes in seconds. <\/p>\n\n

Bianca: <\/strong>Absolutely. We also see in our data that the demand for “convenience at a gourmet level” is increasing massively. People want to cook at home like they’re in a restaurant. How do you explain the difference in value to your customers compared to a standard supermarket vinegar? <\/p>\n\n

Christian:<\/strong> I usually let them smell and taste it. When you open the five-year-aged balsamic vinegar<\/strong>, the aroma fills the room. That’s craftsmanship versus industry. I always tell people, “Gattino is like a good wine\u2014you can taste the time and passion that went into it.” Once you’ve experienced the difference with the black garlic or the high-quality creams, you won’t go back to the standard. <\/p>\n\n

Bianca: <\/strong>That’s a lovely compliment! We’re currently preparing intensively for the Foodexpo in Herning<\/strong>. It’s our springboard to take Kalophagas’ vision \u2013 combining honest, Mediterranean delicacies with Austrian quality standards \u2013 further north. What advice would you give us for the Danish market? <\/p>\n\n

Christian: <\/strong>Scandinavians love design and minimalism, but they’re also extremely quality-conscious. Show them the transparency we practice here. When they see that Gattino is run by real people with a clear philosophy, you’ll be a huge hit. <\/p>\n\n
